Intel P4 3.2 & 3.0 GHz Processors

These are probably the last of the P4 series before Intel launches the next generation of processors. P4s have been around for about three years and the latest ones available run at 3.2 and 3.0 GHz. They’re based on the Northwood “A” core, which was introduced at 2.2 GHz. It will be succeeded by the new Prescott core, which in all probability will be called Pentium 5 and will debut at 3.4 GHz.  quad-pumped with a 200 MHz clock, and support dual-channel DDR 400 RAM. Both processors performed very well in graphics and gaming benchmarks. The P4 3.2 GHz was slightly ahead, owing to the slightly higher frequency. If you’re finicky about getting that extra ounce of performance and are willing to pay around 5% more, consider the 3.2 GHz.
