Leaked CAD renderings showed practically everything about Apple's new iPhones' hardware a few months ago. As we get closer to the announcement, which should happen in September like every year, fresh renderings provide us with the most thorough look at the iPhone 15 Pro yet.

Cameras are to be much thicker on the iPhone 15 Pro

Apple is again expanding the size of the cameras on the iPhone 15 Pro. The bulge has become considerably more comprehensive, with CAD data suggesting that the lens protrusion has doubled since last year.

On the one hand, this will not improve stability when the phone is put on a table. On the other hand, it hints that Apple is packing considerable camera advancements inside the iPhone 15 Pro. According to rumours, the smartphone would "capture more light and reduce overexposure or underexposure in certain settings."

There are no buttons in the iPhone 15 Pro

The iPhone 15 Pro features solid-state haptic controls.

According to rumours, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will have no buttons. Instead, users will perform the relevant activities via solid-state haptic switches. The clicky feel will be mimicked by two dedicated haptic engines, most likely located beneath the buttons.

What happened to the bezels on iPhone 15 Pro?

This year, bezels will be smaller, with narrower boundaries around the screen. They'll be 1.55mm thick, making them among the thinnest in the industry. Android phones have recently won the bezel battle, but Apple appears prepared to recover its throne.

The iPhone 15 Pro has exceptionally thin bezels

If the bezels are reduced, but the screen size remains the same, the phone should shrink somewhat. The iPhone 15 Pro is slightly more portable than the iPhone 14 Pro, with the former measuring 70.46 x 146.47 x 8.24mm vs. 71.45 x 147.46mm x 7.84mm.

The titanium frame equals lighter construction in the iPhone 15 Pro

The new titanium frame is likely the most significant design update - hence the most obvious. The structure reverts to the rounded-edged appearance, albeit in a modest way. It doesn't appear to be a mighty curve, but it should make the smartphone much more comfortable. The iPhone 15 Pro should be lighter than the iPhone 14 Pro, which despite its tiny size, weighs 206g.

The titanium usage is particularly intriguing, given that iPhones have long used stainless steel. Titanium is a remarkably lightweight material with a high strength-to-weight ratio.

Overall, if leaks and rumours are believed, the iPhone 15 Pro will be the most substantial improvement in quite some time. Not only will it be more compatible with other devices thanks to the USB-C connector, but it will also be more comfortable to hold due to softened edges and reduced mass.
