The iPhone 16 series, which will have at least four models — iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max — is expected to be released in late 2024, but there have already been numerous leaks about the future lineup. Apple is now testing a prototype version of the iPhone 16 Pro with a hole-punch cutout instead of the Dynamic Island, according to X tipster Majin Bu (@MajinBuOfficial). The final design selection may be made in March of next year. Furthermore, the insider claims that the hole-punch display design would debut with the iPhone 17. Dynamic Island feature: iPhone 16 series
Last year, Apple released the software-based Dynamic Island feature on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Face ID sensors and front-facing camera are hidden behind the Dynamic Island. Display industry expert Ross Young had predicted that the dynamic island would be included in the iPhone 16 series next year, with non-Pro models matching the screen proportions of the Pro models. He claims the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively.
