The South Korean tech giant's upcoming line of top Android tablets is expected to be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series. In the Galaxy Tab S8 series, Samsung introduced three new versions last year. With the enormous Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, the firm debuted an "Ultra" category tablet for the first time, competing with Apple's iPad Pro for top features and premium price.

Even more anticipation exists for Samsung's flagship tablets in 2023. Here is a list of everything we currently know about the Galaxy Tab S9 line.

Will the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series be released?

If the rumors are true, Samsung is working on three new Galaxy Tab S9 models. The Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will be Samsung's new tablet series, according to GalaxyClub, a reliable source of leaks about the company. The model numbers for the series were also made public by the Dutch publication. Those are displayed below:

At the beginning of 2022, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Tab S8 series alongside the Galaxy S22 series. However, the Galaxy S23's debut earlier this year was not accompanied by any new tablet announcements. This is probably due to Samsung's expectation that the Galaxy Tab S9 series, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, will be released in the second half of the year.

This information comes from The Elec, which wrote in October that Samsung put off developing new tablets because of the slowdown in the economy and lower demand for tech products. The launch of the Tab S9 series appears to have been pushed back to 2023 as a result.

There are rumors that the launch of the Galaxy Tab S9 series will take place on July 26 at the following Galaxy Unpacked.

What are the specifications and features of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series?

The Galaxy Tab S9 series' design remained a mystery until recently. That, however, changed following the release of renders of the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus. Samsung may have decided to maintain the Galaxy Tab S8 Series's aesthetic, according to the images. The dual rear cameras, which resemble those on the Galaxy S23 series, appear to be the only difference.

We saw leaked renders for the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra later, in May 2023. As the Plus model leak suggests, Samsung appears to be keeping the Ultra model's design largely unchanged. That also indicates, for better or worse, that the display notch will continue:

Specifications and features

In February, an exclusive SamMobile report stated that the Galaxy Tab S9 series would have an IP67 rating. That represents a significant advancement considering that Samsung's flagship tablets have never been water resistant. In April, the FCC granted certification to the S Pen. It was uncovered that the pointer upholds Bluetooth Low Energy and has an underlying 2.40 volt capacitor for fast re-energizing. It will likely also be attached to the tablet using a magnetic strip, as expected.

In the meantime, a Twitter tipter by the name of Revegnus said that the Tab S9 Ultra would be powered by an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 just like the Galaxy S23 series. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy increases the primary clock speed by 0.16 GHz and the GPU clock speed by 39 MHz in comparison to the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The size of the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra's battery was also revealed by the leaker, in addition to the processor. They claim that the tablet will have a battery capacity of 10,880 mAh, which is slightly less than the Tab S8 Ultra's 11,220 mAh capacity. It is still larger than the 10,758 mAh battery in the 2022 iPad Pro, so it should last for a long time.

Samsung World Tab S9 series Price (Expected)

Again, no pricing information for the Galaxy Tab S9 series is available. On the other hand, we anticipate that Samsung will demand at least the same sum of money as for the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup. This indicates that the regular model of the Tab S9 should cost around $699, the Tab S9 Plus should start at $899, and the Tab S9 Ultra should cost more than $1,099. However, nothing is set in stone. The prices of the new tablets may or may not be changed by Samsung.
