The box has nothing except a CD that auto runs and asks you to connect to the

www.jaldiinabox.com website. You don’t need to install any software on your machine for this. In essence, your e-store is completely online, starting with configuring it. Once you’re connected to the website, you enter your serial number and register yourself. The user ID and password entered at this stage are used to log on for administering your online store. The process takes you through seven steps, by the end of which you’ll have your store up and running.

The first step is to set up the skeleton for your store. This includes defining the content for your homepage and profiling your store. The profile involves specifying the contact details, etc. All these details go in the Store Info part under the Store Profile option. There are a good number of design elements that can be put on your homepage, including names, logos, and a welcome message. You can also apply one out of the six available templates for a different look.

Advertisements and banners can also be put on your website.

The back-end of an online shop is the actual monetary transaction. For your shop, you can define the modes of payment, modes of product delivery, and delivery areas through the Business rules option. It offers you five modes of payment that includes credit cards. However, if you plan to offer this service to your customers, the gateway for your credit card transactions is finalized manually, when a representative from the company contacts you.

After designing the store, you need to put products in it. However, before this, you’ll need to define categories of products that you intend to put up. The Category Admin option (they call it the heart of Jaldi In A Box), lets you add categories with their descriptions and also offers a huge selection of categories from its own database. This is a great help in kick starting the process. To top this, each of the categories also has a list of features that you may like to associate with the product category. For example, if you add a category of refrigerators, the next page would give you the option of features that you want to include like, capacity, frost free, cooling process, and colors. This makes your online catalogue a whole lot easier and faster to make.

You can now add products to the categories. This is done through the Product Admin option, which allows you to create, add, and organize products within the various categories. These come up in your catalogue and are displayed to visitors to your store. To make the process of shopping easier for the visitor, the package also adds a Search option to your website.

For order monitoring and tracking, the Administration option comes in handy. It tells you the current orders and also allows you to update the status of various products being processed through your online store.

So if you want to join the e-shops bandwagon and plan to make a mark in this market, Jaldi-in-a-Box will be a great help in the quickly putting up a venture. Though a very basic package in terms of design, it offers you all possible back-end support and services to get your e-store up. A product worth checking out.
