Kalyani Group - Shared Services within Kalyani Group

The Problem: As Kalyani group diversified from auto into energy and infrastructure, they felt the pinch of the global financial crisis and decided to shield itself from any other dips by revamping their IT infrastructure to make the company self-sufficient.

The Solution: The objective of this project was to transform the Information Technology within Kalyani Group with the help of shared services. The intent of this transformation was to address three key aspects of IT: Cost Optimisation - Reducing the cost within IT; IT Service Improvement - Increasing the IT Service Efficiency; and establishing Information Security - Reducing the risk.

The Result: TO effectively reduce costs the Infrastructure was Consolidated, Data Centers were Consolidated, Core Architecture was Consolidated, the company underwent a host of Virtualisation solutions through server, OS and physical memory space consolidations were carried out.
