Voice chats, VoIP, video conferencing, multiplayer gaming and speech recognition applications are done best with a good set of headphones and microphone. You’ll also need headphones if your music makes people around you uncomfortable!

It has a stereo headphone with 30 mm drivers and a noise-canceling microphone. It has a behind-the-head design for better comfort and fits snugly over the ears. Regular over-the-head headphone users might initially find this strange. The microphone boom has a double coil design, which means that it will not sag over a period

of usage unlike inferior quality ones. The connecting cable is comfortably long and features a wired remote control. The remote has a volume control dial and a switch for the microphone to switch it on and off. It can also be clipped onto the lapel of your coat.

We found they could even reproduce tones of 40—50Hz with clarity. The higher frequencies sounded crystal clear. We also tried voice chats and video conferencing and the microphone did block out some surrounding din. Voice over the microphone was wholesome.

The bottom line: The Axis-002 is priced at around Rs 3000, which is expensive. You could get equally good headphones for a much lesser price.
