The company has looked to cater to different audiences with its myriad devices that include the likes of P780, S920, K900, Vibe X and the flagship Vibe Z. With S860, the company has taken another ‘big' step in reaching out to the masses with high-performing device, priced keeping the pockets in mind.

The phone competes in a space where you'll find the reliable Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, highly optimized Gionee Elife E6/E7 and an effective Motorola Moto X among others. Talking about the S860, the phone embodies Lenovo's premium body build and good looking design dynamics.

It sports a 5.3 inch HD display that according to the company is durable to scratch and fingerprints but still no sign of Corning Glass on the device makes it hard to believe. It packs a 1.3 GHz quad-core Mediatek chipset clubbed with 2 GB RAM for smooth performance. It comes fitted with an 8 MP rear camera with flash and 1.5 MP front facing snapper for quick selfie.

Just like some other Lenovo smartphone, the S860 should easily course through a day's use via its 4000 mAh battery. On connectivity front, it supports dual-SIM option and available with 16 GB (12 GB usable) storage space and no further expansion. The company has promised to deliver Android 4.4 KitKat update for the device but for now, you'll have to do with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version only.

Lenovo S860 can be pre-ordered in the country on www.thedostore.com and becomes available on shelves from 3rd May onwards.
