LG G3 has Arrived with Laser Autofocus Camera and Q-HD Display

LG finally launched its much awaited smartphone G3 at an event in London. The new LG flagship smartphone is a successor to its last year's G2. LG G3 is packed with 5.5 inch Quad-HD display with 2560 X 1440 pixels, competing devices like Xperia Z2 and Galaxy S5.

The smartphone packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor running at 2.5GHz, 13 MP laser autofocus rear camera with optical image stabilization, 2.1 MP front camera and 3000mAh battery. With the metallic finish body, the device is scratch resistant. The device supports wireless charging as well as has an IR sensor that enables to convert it into a remote control for compatible televisions. It will be available in two variants - one with 16 GB internal storage and 2 GB RAM, and second with 32 GB internal storage and 3 GB RAM. Both models support expandable memory up to 128 GB and runs over the latest version of the OS -Android 4.4.2.

According to the company, they have designed the phone considering all the form factors in the mind and have pay special attention to the speaker that has 1W output. Dr Ramchan Woo, head of phone division at LG, said at the event, "When we introduced G2 last year we talked about learning from you. G2 helped us believe that true innovations can only come from understanding users. We have continued to listen to users and we have found that they don't want complexity but simplicity," he added further, "Smartphones rely on complicated technologies but we don't want to users to read manuals before using the device."

According to Dr Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, "The smartest innovation in a fast evolving smartphone market is creating harmony between advanced technology and a simplified user experience, LG G3 is the result of our effort to actualize that idea into a tangible product. And we are extremely pleased with the result."

LG said that the G3 will go on sale in South Korea from 28 May and then will be rolled out to 170 countries later on the coming months. The company has not yet announced the price of G3.
