With Locate users can track movement of three contacts on their smartphone and get their latest location where they are present. The location data gets collected via cache locally and by using data connection one can remain updated about the contact's movement.

To add a contact, one needs to send in a request to the particular friend so that he can accept your invitation which allows you to monitor his/her movement in and across the city. The tracking response primarily relies on the speed of data network that your phone offers which usually varies from time to time.

MapmyIndia is offering the Locate app to Android devices with version above Android 2.2 Froyo and can be downloaded from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mmi.locate&hl=en.

With Locate, users can negate using Wi-Fi, which is not available freely. The charge of using the tracker via data is fixed by the telecom operator.
