Lumia 530, cheapest Lumia with Windows 8.1 launches in India at Rs 7,349

Microsoft has announced Lumia 530 on its official India store at a price of Rs 7,349. The dual-SIM 3G phone features a 4-inch FWVGA LCD display with 854 x 480 pixels resolution, a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 CPU coupled with 512MB RAM. The phone comes with 4GB storage on-board that is expandable up-to 128GB via micro SD card. A 5MP shooter is provided on back with no front camera support.

Microsoft is claiming that the 1430 mAh battery has up to 22 days standby and 13 hours of 2G talk time. Connectivity options include HSPA+ 21Mbps/5.76Mbps, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 and micro-USB. The phone will run latest Windows 8.1 that includes fast Word Flow keyboard, one-swipe notification from Action Center and 15GB free storage on Microsoft's cloud service OneDrive.

Following the Lumia tradition, the budget windows phone will be available in Bright Orange, Bright Green, Dark Grey, and White colour variants.

Lumia 530 is going to receive a tough fight as several phones in this price bracket are offering 1GB RAM that's double what Lumia 530 offers and also features front camera as well as 8MP rear shooters like Lava Iris X1, Micromax Unite 2 priced at Rs 7,000.
