The Problem: Statements of Requirement (SOR) Release and Vendor on Board (VOB) activities are quite critical to the success of the project. These two activities have direct correlation to the overall project timeline. These activities are inherently quite complex in nature as it involves many of the cross functional teams like -Design, COEs, Program Management, CDMM, Product Cost Management, Strategic Sourcing, Pricing, Suppliers, Project Leader, Senior Management.

The Solution: The new system facilitates seamless collaborative engagement of cross-functional teams within M&M as well as suppliers from outside M&M so as to significantly contribute in delivering the project requirements on time. The same is available to the top management also so as to provide the necessary support to the team upfront before the work becomes a show stopper. The new system eliminates the non-value-added activities of the cross-functional team by optimally automating - listing of the activities, planning for all stages, updating the status as and when the stage is completed in the process.

The Result: The new system provides all information from a single source and secures the information as per the business need. It also eliminates conflicts between cross-functional teams by defining in detail all the 21 stages of the process as well as the owner of the process.
