The Problem: Lot of manual effort was being spent in collating data from emails and excel sheets filed of secondary sale by the field staff, which caused delay as well as consisted misleading information. Any information to dealers regarding changes in business was conveyed by sending emails. Also, end customer profiling was not possible due to lack of data, and so marketing and promotion was difficult. Most dealers also had no common system to maintain their day-to-day transactions.

The Solution: IT team of MTWL met with business side to create detailed business case & requirements document. The Excellon DMS solution was chosen to be customized based on inputs from business users of sales, service & spare areas. Group of dealers were then called to experience the software for their day-to-day transactions, and after successful pilot, all India roll out begun.

The Result: Secondary sales and customer details available immediately instead of 2-day delays and inaccuracy. Real-time purchase orders from dealers for vehicles instead of taking one-day. Reduction of 5 days in fulfilling warranty claims. Due to system, sales are being forecasted easily, and inventory planning is much more efficient and accurate. MTWL also got access to dealer level manpower status, attrition data and training needs.
