Microsoft Launches Office 2010 in India

/b>On May 13th Microsoft announced the availability of Office 2010, SharePoint

2010, Visio 2010 and Project 2010 for business customers in India. The USP of

this product is the availability on different platforms like browsers and

phones, apart from PCs. The feature of real-time collaboration and presence

within documents enables all users to edit as well as view what others are

working on. This has been made possible via tha Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and

Windows Live Sky Drive platforms. One of the new PowerPoint 2010 features allows

embedding and editing of videos within the PowerPoint application. There is a

browser-based version which complements the rich client Office applications with

almost similar functionality. Thus, the focus of the Office 2010 Suite is to

support the Cloud Computing paradigm.
