The planned action cum strategy spinoff, Minecraft Legends, now has a release date, according to Mojang Studios. There have been rumours regarding Minecraft Legends ever since it was announced last year.

Microsoft announced that Legends would be available on April 18, 2023, for consoles and PC during Xbox's Developer Direct event. Prior to revealing the release date at the conclusion of their trailer, Microsoft also showed off extra gameplay and narrative components. Both competitive and cooperative play seem to be supported by the game's multiplayer capabilities.

About Minecraft GamePlay?

A third-person action and strategy game, Minecraft Legends combines the two genres. The hero that the player controls must defend the Overworld from an invasion by the Nether's inhabitants.

However, they won't have to fight on their own because they will be able to recruit new and old Overworld friends to form an army of mobs to repel the invaders and return them to the Nether.

The Overworld's peaceful settlements will be targeted by the piglin army as it advances. Players will have to protect the settlements from future attacks and defend against these hostile forces. They will be able to command their troops in real time and have access to a variety of powerful weapons, armor, and abilities.

In addition to dealing with the corruption of the Nether, players of Minecraft will have to deal with other issues. Microsoft's most recent trailer shows that players can either fight head-to-head or band together to ensure victory in battle.

Players can be seen constructing their defenses and carrying out raids on the structures of other players in the recently revealed PvP gameplay, likely in search of the resources and loot needed to defeat the incoming threat.

Mojang and Microsoft have confirmed that the game will be available in two versions in addition to the gameplay reveal. The game is available as a Standard Edition for $39.99, as well as a Deluxe Edition for $49.99, which includes both the base game and a Deluxe Skin Pack for player customization in-game.

One hero skin, four mount skins, and an additional mount skin that will be available after the game launches are included in the skin pack.

Mojang has stated that PC and console versions of Minecraft Legends will be available. This includes both the current lineup of next-generation consoles and those that were recently released. On the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5|4, Steam, Windows 11|10, Xbox's PC Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, players can play Legends.

Whether or not Minecraft Legends will be compatible with mobile devices or platforms running MacOS or iOS is currently unknown; however, additional information may emerge in the months to come.
