The Problem: To boost international trade relations between India and the African Union, the then President of India, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, addressed the African Parliament in Johannesburg on 16th Sep. 2004, and proposed to connect all 53 AU member countries with Indian institutions with a satellite and fibre-optic network to share India's expertise in the fields of Education and Health care.

The Solution: TCIL implemented Total Network Solution operations & management Support for the project period (5 years after commissioning of the network), providing Tele-Education and Tele-Medicine Services in collaboration with Indian Universities and Super Specialty Hospitals.

The Result: Set up of MPLS based network connecting 5 Indian Universities, 12 Indian Super Specialty Hospital to Pan African e-Network Data Centre at TCIL HQ, New Delhi. The resolution helped set up of VSAT based network connecting Learning center, Patient End Hospital, VVIP locations in 53 African countries, 5 Regional University Centre Africa and 5 Regional Super Specialty Hospital countries to Satellite Hub station at Dakar Senegal.
