Are the Moto G13, Redmi 12C, and Realme C55 in the same price range?

Of course, the Realme C55 is slightly more expensive, and we have yet to see how Xiaomi rates the Redmi 12C. Still, budget-conscious consumers will be considering all three phones as potential investments in the coming months. To simplify things, we're comparing the Moto G13 to the Realme C55 and the Redmi 12C.

  • The Moto G13 has a 6.5-inch 720p IPS LCD monitor with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a hollow punch cutout in the middle. In the Moto G13, Motorola has used Panda Glass screen shielding. The Redmi 12C has a 6.71-inch 720p (unspecified screen) display with a water drop-style bezel. The Realme C55 has a 6.72-inch 1080p IPS LCD monitor with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a hollow punch cutout in the middle with a "mini capsule."

Processor: The Moto G13 and Redmi 12C share the same MediaTek Helio G85 processor. The Helio G99 processor powers the Realme C55.

Software: The Moto G13 uses stock Android 13 software, with Motorola guaranteeing an upgrade to Android 14 and up to three years of security upgrades. The Realme C55 uses Realme UI 4.0, built on Android 13. The Redmi 12C runs MIUI 13 on Android 12.

Battery and charging: The three phones, the Moto G13, Redmi 12C, and Realme C55, all have 5,000 mAH batteries. The Realme C55 enables 33 W of USB Type-C charging, while the Moto G13 is limited to 10 W. The Redmi 12C has a micro-USB charging connector that supports 10W charging.

Other highlights include an IP52 construction and dual speakers with Dolby Atmos playback compatibility on the Moto G13. Both are missing from the Redmi 12C and Realme C55.

Cameras: The Moto G13 has three rear-facing cameras. This camera has a 50 MP primary sensor and two 2 MP secondary sensors, one for macros and one for photos. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front. The Redmi 12C has a dual camera system on the back with a 50 MP primary lens and a 5 MP selfie shooter on the front. The Realme C55 has a dual camera system with a 64MP main lens and a 2MP depth sensor on the back. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front.

Prices: The Moto G13 begins at Rs 9,499 in India for a model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. A variant with double the capacity (128GB) will cost Rs 9,999. Realme has released the C55 in three variants. A version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage will cost Rs 10,999, a 6 GB/64 GB version will cost Rs 11,999, and an 8 GB/128 GB version will cost Rs 13,999. In China, the Redmi 12C begins at CNY 699 (roughly Rs 8,500) for the 4GB/64GB version.
