New Update

The NP216 is a DLP projector that comes with a native XGA resolution (1024 x 768) that can go up to UXGA resolution (1600 x 1200) at max. On the topside it has well laid out keys towards the back and has the focus and zoom adjustment rings towards the front right. On the back are the standard connectivity ports — D-sub, S-video, 3.5mm audio and also an Ethernet port for network connectivity. In normal usage, the projector gave superb clarity with vivid colour tones and unbelievable white and black levels. Viewing presentations and documents was great and even in videos the projector turned out to be a good performer. To use the projector in 3D mode, we connected an nvidia Vision kit with a PC running on nvidia graphics as that is the requirement. It took a few minutes to setup the projector and get it running 3D, but it was totally worth it. We checked up videos available online at http://www.3dvisionlive.com/ and also viewed a couple of images to check the projector's 3D performance.

The projector out and out impressed with its depth, colour reproduction, contrast levels as well as the zero ghosting it gave. The projector did run considerably hot, but while viewing 3D the fans seemed to run faster to cool down the projector. The 7W speakers are good only for a meeting room as its not too loud. As the projector is aimed towards education sector, the pricing is towards higher side, but the features and performance makes the projector an excellent value for money proposition for enterprises.
