New Among Us Update Arrives, Devs Reveal What's Coming Next

Among Us has received another update and there is much that we need to cover. The news came from the Among Us official Twitter account and all the patch notes along with updates about what's happening in the Innersloth wheelhouse were posted on the Innersloth website. Among other things that are new, there is also a new Community Director at Innersloth now which has increased the size of the team from an uneven three to an even four. The new Community Director at Innersloth is Victoria and she gave us all the details of what's going on with Among Us.

New Among Us Update:

The new Among Us update that we all have received contains mostly bug fixes and balance changes to improve the experience. There is a new map in the works as confirmed again by Victoria and we already have been given a sneak peek at it.

Balance Changes

• Comms sabotage hides task arrows
• Comms red light no longer immediately responds to the correct position

Bug Fixes

• Fixed camera flinging on security cams
• Fixed inaccurate admin table on Polus
• Fixed Polus panels reachable through walls
• Fixed temperature mini-game in Polus for iOS
• Fix solo-complete reactor/seismic exploit
• Fix align engine exploit and softlock

Then we got a look at what Innersloth is planning with the future of Among Us. Accounts for Among Us has been a big focus of the Innersloth team ever since the game got big. Mostly to remove the toxicity and hacking that is going a bit rampant in the game. No one quite understands why someone would hack in Among Us since you don't actually get any rewards for winning. Toxicity is just something that has plagued big multiplayer games for a long time. Glad to see the devs being so proactive about the issue.

Adding more languages has also been a focus of the dev team and they have been adding them slowly as well. As of now, the focus is on French, Italian, German, Spanish EU and LA, Dutch, Russian, BR, and EU Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Filipino (Bisaya). However the more interesting is the news about Mobile ads. Among Us on android and iOS is free to play with ads. Users can pay to remove ads but they don't have too but the game is not free on PC. PC and console games are not allowed to have ads on them hence the $5 price of Among Us.

Apparently, there have been a lot of issues with inappropriate ads on mobile on Among Us but they’ll be removed by 2021 according to the blogpost. For users who did pay to have their ads removed from the game on android and iOS, you will get them back. Though the blogpost has clarified that all the users who have paid for the game will get something in return for their support.
