We received a tip from @Ricciolo1 on Twitter which suggests that S8 will be ready by MWC 2017, and will be present at the event. He added that the phone will not be showcased to a large audience, and will be unveiled later.

According to Eldar Murtazin from Mobile Review, Samsung S8 will sport a 5.7-inch display while S8 Plus will be having a 6.2-inch display. He also suggests that there will be a fingerprint reader on the back of each phone, rather than under the glass on the front, as had been rumored previously. Samsung will be using either the Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895V depending on market (both 10nm chipsets), 6GB RAM, UFS 2.1 storage with 64GB base (with SD slot), IRIS scanners, water resistance, USB Type-C ports, and 3.5mm headphone jacks.

S8 will be powered by 3000mAh battery while S8 Plus will come with a 3600mAh battery.

On the software front, the new Galaxy S8 phones will release with Android 7.1 and the latest version of Samsung’s TouchWiz. It has also been confirmed that Samsung is working on its own version of AI-powered digital assistant Bixby that will be powered by the Viv software which was acquired by Samsung last year.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge was noted for its stunning camera performance and we expect the same from S8 and S8 Plus. On the camera front, Galaxy S8 is rumored to adopt iris recognition module and it is expected that a dual camera setup will be introduced at the back of the Galaxy S8 Plus alongside autofocus capabilities. The S Health app is also expected to see a massive overhaul, with WebMD integration. Ricciolo also said in the tweet that Samsung has set the Galaxy S8 price as EUR 849 (around Rs. 61,700).
