Nikon Announces D5300

Nikon India announced the launch of the D5300 D-SLR camera, a compact and lightweight entry-level model that delivers exceptional performance. It is Nikon's first digital SLR camera to offer built-in wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) and GPS functions, which enable simple sharing of high-quality images captured with the D5300 and NIKKOR lenses offering superior rendering performance via a smart device. The camera possesses significantly enhanced optical technologies, including an optimized EXPEED 4 image-processing engine with no optical low-pass filter. The absence of a low-pass filter maximizes the superior resolution of the high pixel count and rendering capabilities of NIKKOR lenses.

Speaking on the announcement, Mr. Hiroshi Takashina, Managing Director, Nikon India said,
