Nokia introduces ‘Big’ Lumia 625 Smartphone

Nokia has been teasing about Something Big about to make its way to the market and today the Finnish handset maker has unveiled its big Lumia 625 Windows Phone 8 smartphone that comes with a 4.7 inch display, a first for the company with its Lumia range.

Nokia has decided to go with a big screen for a mid-tier phone instead of a flagship product. The Lumia 625 sports a 4.7 inch WVGA 800x480 pixels display with Gorilla Glass 2 and powered by Windows Phone 8 which includes the latest Amber update.

Talking hardware, the phone packs a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 512 MB RAM and 8 GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 64 GB with microSD slot. Apart from that you have the same the same 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and VGA front camera like the one on Lumia 620.

The newest addition to this Lumia phone is FM radio, which is highly preferred in markets like India. The phone offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS + GLONASS and even 4G (LTE) and loaded up with a 2,000 mAh battery. Lumia 625 will be available from Q3 this year and will be priced around Rs 18,000 in India.
