On 5 December, the OnePlus 12 will become official in China. While we wait for the actual launch event, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has issued several teasers revealing the major characteristics of the new gadget. The OnePlus 12 will have a 2K resolution display with a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. It will also have a Sony IMX581 extreme wide-angle camera. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC will power the OnePlus 12 with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It runs ColorOS 14, which is based on Android 14.

On Weibo, OnePlus has released additional teasers disclosing critical features regarding the OnePlus 12's display. The peak brightness of the ProXDR display is said to be up to 4,500 nits. The current top smartphones have a peak brightness of roughly 2,600 nits. The iPhone 14 Pro Max's screen has a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits, whereas the Galaxy S23 Ultra's has a maximum brightness of 1,750. Meanwhile, the next Redmi K70 Pro's display has been verified to have a peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits.

DisplayMate has also given the ProXDR display an A+ rating. It has also been announced that the OnePlus 12 phone would have up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The OnePlus 12's camera sensors have been officially announced, and the company claims they are all flagship-level. The Hasselblad-branded triple rear camera arrangement on the OnePlus 12 will include a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 64-megapixel Sony LYT-808 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom capabilities. The OnePlus 11 also has a 48-megapixel ultrawide Sony IMX581 camera with autofocus.
OnePlus 12: Release Date
Following the company's 10th anniversary celebrations on 4 December, the OnePlus 12 will be released in China on 5 December at 2:30pm local time (12:0pm IST). The OnePlus 12 phone is available for pre-order in China through the company's official web store and JD.com. It has been confirmed that it will be available in Pale Green, Rock Black, and White.
The OnePlus 12 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It will have a new generation X-axis motor built-in for gaming. It runs ColorOS 14, which is based on Android 14.
