Oppo said last week that it will be releasing the OPPO A2 5G shortly. The business has now put it on Oppo Mall, Oppo's official online shop in China. Additionally, the smartphone company has stated that it would be on sale beginning on November 11. According to the brand, with 512 GB of internal storage, the A2 is among the most affordable phones available. Here are some details about the device's pricing and specifications.
OPPO A2 5G Specifications
The OPPO A2 5G has a 6.72-inch punch-hole LCD screen with a resolution of 2400 × 1080. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and a high 180Hz touch sampling rate. The screen has a maximum brightness of 680 nits and is protected by Panda Glass for increased durability.
Under the hood, the Oppo A2 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 mobile platform with LPDDRx memory and UFS 2.2 flash storage. The phone has a superconducting thermograph plate to dissipate heat.
In the camera department, the Oppo A2 5G has an 8-megapixel front camera and dual rear cameras. The latter includes a 50-megapixel camera with a Samsung S5KJN1 sensor and a 2-megapixel black-and-white lens.
To keep you powered up throughout the day, the OPPO A2 5G has a 5000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. It comes pre-installed with Android 13 based on ColorOS 13.2. It offers other features like a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, support for Wi-Fi 5, a USB-C port, stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
In addition, it also offers IP54 rated dust and waterproof protection. A2 is 7.99/8.04mm thick and weighs 193 grams. The A2 is a rebranded version of the OPPO A79 5G which is only available in the Indian market.
Oppo A2 color and Availability
The OPPO A2 is available in two configurations: one with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage priced at 1,699 yuan (~$232), and the other with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage priced slightly higher at 1,799 yuan (~$246).
It is available in three colors such as Jinghai Black, Qingbo Cui and Ice Crystal Purple. The Oppo A2 is available in black, green and purple with 12/256GB storage starting at CNY 1,699 ($232). The 12/512GB model is priced at CNY 1,799 ($246). The opening sale in China starts next week on November 6th.
