Contact Action Popup, Quick steps, Email Conversation Manager, etc are some
of the exciting new features of MS Outlook 2010. Quick Steps allows you to
define actions that can save your time. For instance, by simply creating a new
Quick Step & naming it as 'Send & Archive' you can send an email and archive it
by clicking on it. The range of predefined Quick Steps are Move to; ?, Team
E-mail, To Manager, Done, etc. You can also define upto 9 shortcut keys
(starting from CTRL+SHIFT+1 to CTRL+SHIFT+9) while creating Quick Steps.
In Contact Action popup, when you simply hover the mouse to
the contacts in your email, it will show you different options like send email,
chat, call, and a lot more. You simply need to have a Windows Live ID or a
Hotmail ID and you must be logged in to your account.

You can find Quick Steps under the Home Tab. To send an mail To Manger, you first need to setup the Quick Steps by entering the Name and the email ID. |
To create a new Quick Step, you need to click on the 'Create New' button. Then name it and choose the action that you want to perform. |
To manage a Quick Step, right click on it and define folders according to your need. To edit it further, click on the 'New' button and it will prompt you for setup. |
To set importance to a Quick Step, right click on it and add action to it. You can add more than two actions at one time by simply clicking on the 'Add an Action' button. |
