This ultra-slim flatbed scanner for home and office users that doesn’t need an extra power supply, but draws power from the PC’s USB port. It doesn’t use standard CCD technology, but very small and low power LED sources (LiDE)for scanning, making the scanner compact and slim. A stand places the scanner vertically —useful if you have less space. Three buttons on its front panel let you scan, print, and e-mail. It is reasonably fast, and the scan quality was pretty good. It comes with software for scanning, editing and OCR. Overall, it’s more expensive than regular scanners, but a good buy nonetheless.
