Here’s a software to protect your sensitive data from prying eyes. It uses 448-bit implementation of the Blowfish algorithm. Cryptainer stores all your sensitive data in encrypted format on your hard disk. It creates a virtual drive on your hard drive, which can only be accessed using a password, which is hashed for more security. The virtual drive behaves like an ordinary drive, and Cryptainer assigns it a drive letter too.
The new partition can be accessed like any other partition, but is available only as long as Cryptainer is running and disappears as soon as the software is closed. Users can also have secondary partitions, all protected by their own passwords, which can be individually mounted or unmounted as the need arises. The nature of encryption ensures that no data recovery, of any form, is possible if the user forgets access password of a particular partition. This makes the data 100 percent secure. Overall, the software is very easy to setup and use, and delivers what it promises.
