The Problem: PVMI gives credit in the form of money at the time of doing primary sales to distributors and super stockists to promote sales /stock movement. Earlier secondary claim settlement process at PVMI was manual, which was based upon the outsourcing model. The PVMI distributor claims were verified and submitted for approval by a BPO. Since, the information was not maintained inside centralized application SAP, it was lacking control and resulting into higher TAT for settlement of the raised claims.

The Solution: A web based solution on .NET 3.0 platform with SQL Server 2008 as backend is hosted at the inhouse datacenter which connects to SAP for all its master data inputs and credit note uploads. Major features utilized are SSRS and SSIS.

The application also acts as a small data warehouse for other applications to connect to their data input needs and acts

as a centralized repository of the information.

The Result: This has contributed significantly in achieving higher operating efficiency, reducing number of claims being raised by the distributors and maximizing employee productivity and quick information flow.
