The look and feel of PW 5150 550 VA UPS from Powerware, is very attractive, given its sleek black-gray body. Even the LEDs and power switch on the front panel are arranged as a smiling face. Suitable for small offices and homes, the UPS has three LEDs for indicating mains availability, inverter status and UPS failures. The key features of the UPS include a built-in electronic voltage controller and network transient protector. It claims to support up to Intel PIII-based systems and has a rated back up time of 3 min at full load. The rated battery switch over time of around 6 ms also looks impressive.
