The future vehicle for the Oracle Red Bull Racing team has been made public, although it is not a Formula 1 race car. It’s a brand-new e-scooter.

The vehicle, known as the RBS #01, is the product of a two-year partnership between F1 engineers from Red Bull Racing and eBike producer N Plus (opens in new tab). Despite having a connection to race cars, when it debuts next summer, this e-scooter won't be the quickest in the world. Instead, the engineers concentrated on creating a full commuting gear with a steering-heavy design. However, the RBS will probably be an uncommon sight on the streets due to its low availability and exorbitant price.

Portable and Quick

  • The RBS has a range of 60 kilometres and a top speed of 45 kilometres per hour (about 28 miles per hour) (about 37 miles).
  • Although its speed and range are above average, it is slower than, for instance, the comparable Kugoo Kirin G3 scooter.
  • However, because of the scooter's 80 newton-meters, or NM, of torque, the RRBS can accelerate more swiftly.
  • A 760 Wh battery powers the 750 W motor and propels the scooter forward.
  • Five hours will pass before it is fully charged.

The RBS is most intriguing because of its design and potential handling abilities. It has a carbon fibre chassis and is a tad heavy for a scooter at 23 kilos (a little over 50 pounds). The size of various components is likely to blame for the weight. Although the website(opens in a new tab) doesn't specify the width of the deck, the RBS comes with an "oversized deck and wheel kit."

According to Red Bull Racing, the scooter has "high-performance tyres" constructed of a soft rubber combination that enables it to adhere to the ground "like glue." They have a substantial 11-inch diameter, allowing you to roll over potholes easily. You can "stop like a race car" thanks to the four-piston hydraulic brake system inside the wheels.

A small LCD panel showing the speed, an LED headlight up front, and a little thumb throttle to the right can all be seen when looking down at the handlebars. You won't have to worry about clutter because there are no additional cables.

What is the price of the e Scooter?

  • Red Bull Racing claims it can withstand jumps, drops, and crashes into the ground with little to no damage.
  • The RBS, according to Red Bull Racing, is "built to sustain 3G of load."

You can purchase all of this for a whopping $6,000! You may place a pre-order on Red Bull Racing's website immediately. A $600 deposit for the scooter is required at this time. After that, you can choose an instalment plan with no interest to pay off the remaining $5,400. Although it's unclear how many will be available, as previously said, there will be a restricted supply.
