The two biggest updates for the device are the screen's Dynamic Island cutout and the USB-C port. The switch to a new connector is a result of modifications to European law.

Owners of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are rumored to receive a speedier port, but this is not confirmed; it is said that the connector will feature a USB 2.0 specification. High-speed USB-C will only be included with Pro variants.

Regarding Dynamic Island, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max featured this interface for the first time last year. It will also be available for all iPhone 15-series smartphones; the cutout's dimensions are not expected to change.

The diagonal of the screen on the iPhone 15 is another change. It should have a screen size of 6.2 inches, which is a slight improvement over the iPhone 14. We now have our first look at the iPhone 15 without the Pro a week after the renders for the iPhone 15 Pro were released.

9to5Mac's CAD-based renders show two significant changes from the previous iPhone 14: a display with a Dynamic Island pill-shaped cutout that will replace the infamous notch, measuring 6.2 inches.

The USB-C connector at the device's bottom, which will replace the out-of-date Lightning port, is the second significant change compared to previous iPhones. The volume and mute controls will remain on the left side.

In addition, the new report specifies that, as opposed to the rumored capacitive buttons, they will probably be physical. A dual camera setup with sensors arranged diagonally will remain in place on the back.
