HP Pavilion AB035AX is made of plastic with a brushed metal finish on the top. The laptop’s keyboard panel is covered with patterned metal and has a 15.6-inch LED Backlit 1080p FHD display with large bezels around it. Though, the display has a 1920x1080 gull HD resolution but it offers low brightness levels. The FHD display produces pretty good colors and has wide viewing angles. You can enjoy games, movies etc. on the device with your friends and family.

The HP laptop comes with an island-style keyboard with numeric keypad and a smooth touchpad with the metallic finish. The bit bulky laptop comes with all the all important interfaces such as combo audio, USB 2.0 & 3.0, Kensington Lock Slot, memory card reader, LAN, HDMI and VGA-out port. The notebook supports 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi standards and Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity and has an HP TrueVision HD Webcam (1280x720) webcam that is decent for video chats.

A decent device for work and play

HP Pavilion laptop is packed with 2.2 GHz AMD Accelerated processor A8-7410, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, 2 GB AMD Radeon R7 Series M360 GPU, 1 TB of hard drive and runs on Windows 8.1 OS. This combination of AMD processor and GPU makes this laptop capable enough to handle various productivity tasks as well as graphic intensive games.

We played some games on this AMD powered laptop including Thief, Shadow of Mordor, etc. while testing. This laptop performed really well in our testing. For the real-time testing, we also ran multiple applications simultaneously, like MS-word, Photoshop, etc. We opened Mozilla Firefox and Chrome with 20 different tabs. There was no visible lag in the performance though a little lag while switching between apps. This machine can handle games and any productive application easily.

The laptop is equipped with two speakers, which produce pretty average sound, but they are loud enough for you to enjoy movies and games. Its touchpad is quite responsive and the spacious island-style keyboard is really nice.

The laptop is also equipped with HP TrueVision HD webcam with decent mic which reduces the noise and delivers quite a satisfactory experience. The webcam is good enough but attracts noise a little in indoor or low-light conditions. Thanks to its cooling system, we didn’t notice extreme heating issues with it. In our benchmark testing, it scored well and resulted in P2169 on 3DMark and 2130 on PCMark.

The laptop is backed by a 4 cell lithium-ion battery that did well during standard usage, browsing the internet, working on documents etc. In our battery test, it lasted for 3hours 25 minutes when running Imtech Battery Mark 1.1 which uses 100% CPU, RAM, Display, etc.
