iBall Slide WQ32 is a 8 inch well designed tablet running on Windows 8.1, and is powered by the latest Intel Atom processor. The IPS screen delivers good visuals and better viewing angles. The device comes with 1 year subscription of MS Office 365. The 16 GB internal storage will give you less space to install apps as the OS takes away most of it. However the memory is expandable upto 64GB via Micro-SD card slot. The power, volume control, SD card slot are housed at right side and charging port, Mini HDMI port and 3.5 mm Audio Jack are housed at top of the device. It is not one of the slimmest tablets but is also not thick in any way.

Good on performance

With the latest Z3735D Atom processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM, the iBall Slide WQ32 works like a breeze and can handle multitasking well. On our benchmark tests it scored 636 in 3D Mark which makes it a decent graphics performer. In PC Mark which measures performance on a collection of everyday tasks including web surfing, office tasks it scored 1098 making it a good computational performer.

The 1200*800 resolution offers great visual experience. The 8 inch screen is also good for those who would like to consume a lot of video content on the go.  You can enjoy HD quality videos with vivid colors. The multi-touch control is responsive and swiping, zooming, scrolling is smooth whether you are watching pictures or surfing over the web.

We tested the device with several games like Asphalt 8, Six Guns, Dead Call etc and they all worked fine. The stereo speakers at the bottom deliver good sound quality. However when we watched full HD videos on Youtube, the video streams slowly and we also faced performance lag. The 5MP camera works well under day light and is not suited for snapping photos in low light or at night. For video chat it sports a 2 MP front camera which can be good for occasional skype calls and is not suited for selfies.

The screen is reflective thus viewing content might not be suitable when device faces a light source and is almost unreadable under direct sunlight. The text is quite readable in Windows 8 UI-optimized apps, but if you view text on some apps in desktop mode, it may look small. That said, the screen is clear enough so you can still see the letters clearly.

Even if you use the device for more than 2 hours it does not get heated. In our battery test wherein we loop a video with full brightness, it lasted for 5 hours 30 minutes. In standard Battery Mark Test, it lasted for about 6 hours and 10 minutes.

Designed for MS Office

iBall has provided Microsoft 365 with the device for 1 year so you do not need to download any other office related apps. Creating/editing short documents does not require much effort; however typing longer documents can be cumbersome. It is equipped with USB On The Go function wherein you can directly plug an external USB drive or hard disk for quick access to documents or other media related content or an external keyboard. Entering text from on-screen keyboard is a breeze. For connectivity options the tablet is equipped with Wi-Fi and 3G support.
