Lava Iris Atom 3 Smartphone Review

Lava Iris Atom 3 is a low-budget smartphone packed with a 5-inch screen. The body is made out of durable plastic wrapped with a metallic silver finished frame, that enhances its look. This phone can host two SIMs, and one microSD card up to 32 GB.

The 5-inch FWVGA display has 480X854 pixel resolution. Colors are good but don't look natural. Brightness levels are quite high making device useful while using it in direct sunlight. You can enjoy watching videos and playing games on it, but can't share the screen with other as viewing angles are not wide.

The smartphone 1.3 GHz quad-core processor paired with 512 MB RAM. It comes with 8 GB of internal storage and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The combination makes it useful for daily productivity and light games. In our testing, we played games like Temple Run 2 and there was no performance lag, but you can't expect to play high graphic intensive games on it. Also, while using the device we were able to see a little lag in the performance which was expected from a device having only 512 MB of RAM.

It is equipped with a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash that could be useful for daylight photography, in low-light condition, it attracts noise. The front 2MP camera is good for capturing selfies and video chats but again in daylight condition.

The phone is backed by a 2000 mAh battery that can last for more than 8 hours. In video test, it lasted for 4 hours 18 minutes playing video over Wifi with full brightness and volume.
