Bottomline : Lava Pixel V2 gives decent smartphone and has nice cameras with flash at both ends. It’s a tad expensive, so go for it if you’re crazy about selfies.

Lava’s new offering Pixel V2 has a 5-inch touchscreen with 720p resolution and Asahi Dragontail Glass. It has two SIM slots and offers 4G connectivity. The back panel is removable and provides space for two SIM slots and microSD storage. Its battery is non-removable.

The smartphone boasts of a 5-inch display that’s bright enough make texts readable in bright sunlight. With the good viewing angles, it produces vibrant colors. This smartphone is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek quad-core processor and 2 GB DDR3 RAM. The device has 16 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32 GB. The phone has a custom user interface called Star OS 2.0 which is based on Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system. The phone is capable of managing most of the tasks smoothly. In our testing, we played various games such as temple run 2 and Real Racing, but we didn’t notice any performance lag.

The Pixel V2 has a 13 MP camera at the rear with dual led flash. This can click decent images but we missed details in the images.The low light shots we filled with noise as well. The front 8 MP camera is also accompanied with a flash, making it suitable for selfies in low light. It comes with various camera features including four modes – Video, Photo, Beauty-Fi and Night pro.

The Lava Pixel V1 is equipped with a non-removable 2500 mAh Li-Po battery that offers decent battery life. While testing the device, it lasted for about 9 hours with moderate usage. In our video test, it lasted for 5 hours 12 minutes playing video with full brightness and volume over Wi-Fi.
