Bottomline : The 4G enabled Vivo Y51L has the stylish design and backed by decent hardware which can handle the various task. The only drawback which we came across is its camera. So, this phone is not for photo enthusiasts. It's better to check other available option such as LE 1S which has better combination and camera.
Last year, Vivo tried to capture smartphone market by launching several major models including Y27L, Y31, and Y15S, etc. covering low-budget to high-end categories. This year, Vivo comes with affordable smartphone Vivo Y51L to grab one of the most popular budget segment.
Vivo Y51L: Design and Features
Out of the box, the first thing in Vivo Y51L that grabs the attention is its stylish looks and rich feel. However, the style is similar to any Vivo smartphone, yet this is different with sleek form factor having a 7.52mm slim body with a metallic frame across the corners. The front and back have glossy finish front and back panel which attracts smudges, a little, but thankfully not the scratches.

The front of Vivo Y51L is dominated by a 5-inch qHD IPS display, which offers a resolution of 960x540 pixels. The display is sharp and even you can read in direct sunlight. The front panel also houses a selfie camera on the top, while three capacitive touch keys are placed in the bottom. The speaker is at the bottom edge while the 3.5 mm headset space for headset jack is on the top edge. It runs on VIVO own customized OS Funtouch-OS v2.5 based on Android 5.0-Lollipop as the backbone.

The Funtouch allows you to customize the skin as per your choice. There is no app drawer in the Funtouch, the notification center can be accessed by swiping screen downwards from the top of the screen whereas if your swipe upwards from the bottom a series of shortcuts and the recent app will show. You can also pin your apps to the recent apps menu. Also, the volume down key is programmable, if you Hold the volume down button, you can wake up the app you want.

Vivo Y51L: Performance:
Vivo Y51L brings in Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 410 chipset (1.2GHz) coupled with 2 GB RAM. It has 16 GB of built-in storage (10.86 GB is available to the user) and expandable up to 128 GB. We played some high-end games such as Asphalt 8 and did not find any performance lag. The viewing angles and visuals are pretty good for watching videos, surfing the web or playing games.

The Vivo Y51L imaginary section is stacked in an 8 MP rear camera unit with LED flash and a 5 MP selfie shooter with f/2.4 lens aperture. The 5MP front camera is good for selfie lovers and clicks good pictures. The face beauty mode can be used by the both camera but some modes such as HDR, Paranormal, Night, Action etc. can use only with the rear one. The quality of images it captures in a daylight is good but the lack of sharpness and details, however, in a low light condition the pictures are little bit grainy.
Vivo Y51L backed by 2300 mAh battery that can last you about a day (8+ hours) in moderate usage, playing games, net surfing etc. While in our video look test its lasted for hours and minutes, playing video on youtube with full brightness and volume over Wi-Fi.
