You must be aware of the website called ‘meebo.com’ that lets you run multiple Instant Messaging services including Yahoo, Windows Live, AIM, Gtalk, etc. How about something that lets you run a lot of desktop applications without any need to install them? After reading this article, many would relate this to Cloud computing or would take it as a Saas which indeed is a Cloud computing component.

The website called ‘Spoon.net’ allows you to run different applications without the need to install them. What all needs to be installed in order to run it, is just a plug-in of 26 MB in size.
In this article, we will show you how ‘Spoon.net’ is used to run different browsers from the web with no installs. What else? Well! This is not limited to just running browsers but this website also allows to run other desktop applications. The list is huge ranging from Office apps, email clients, Twitter clients, media players and many more. In case of browsers, you can run Google Chrome, Apple Safari 3,4, Firefox 2,3, 3.5 , Opera 10 and MS IE 6,7 and 8.
With ‘Spoon.net’ productivity applications, you can run OpenOffice, Go-OO, VLC, Winamp, GOM player, QuickTime, Picasa, TweetDeck, Skype, Notepad ++, Limewire and many more. The only issue we noticed was that when we tried to run the browser using Google Chrome, we got an error that says this service is currently unavailable on this browser. So we tested it by running the browsers on IE8 and then we ran Apple Safari and Opera along with Gtalk.
