On Wednesday, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series was presented at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul. The Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic devices are part of the series. They are available in dial sizes ranging from 40mm to 47mm, enabling LTE and Bluetooth v5.3 connectivity. The bezels on the Galaxy Watch 6 versions are slimmer than on previous models, and the Classic model includes a functioning rotating bezel that allows users to move between different apps and widgets.

Price and availability of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic

The Galaxy Watch 6 starts at USD 299 (about Rs. 24,500), while the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic begins at USD 399 (approximately Rs. 32,700). Starting today, 26 July, both versions will be available for pre-order in select markets before going on sale on 11 August. The Galaxy Watch 6 will be available in Bluetooth and LTE variants with 40mm and 44mm dial sizes. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, on the other hand, is available in 43mm and 47mm dial sizes and Bluetooth and LTE variants.

The Galaxy Watch 6 series watches are powered by an Exynos W930 SoC, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. The versions use Sapphire Crystal AMOLED panels with Always-On-Display (AOD). The 40mm base model features a 1.3-inch display, while the 44mm has a 1.5-inch screen. Meanwhile, the 43mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic has a 1.3-inch screen, while the 47mm model has a 1.5-inch display.

Like most smartwatches, these Samsung versions have fitness monitors such as heart rate, oxygen, and sleep tracking. However, the Galaxy Watch 6 series has improvements, like a sleep coaching feature that claims to guide users towards better sleep experiences. They will also be able to determine individual heart rate zones and provide customised exercise instruction.

The smart wearables also include AFib monitors, which allow users to check for abnormal heart rhythms. The Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic also include blood pressure monitoring and menstrual cycle prediction.

The Galaxy Watch 6's 40mm and 44mm sizes have 300mAh and 400mAh batteries, respectively. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic's 43mm and 47mm sizes come with 300mAh and 400mAh batteries, respectively. The business says that the wearables have a battery life of up to 30 hours with the AOD feature turned on and up to 40 hours with the AOD feature turned off. They feature WPC-based wireless fast charging and run Google's Wear OS-based One UI 5 Watch.

All devices running Android 10 or higher are compatible with the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 2, NFC, and GPS connectivity are all supported. All versions in the Galaxy Watch 6 series have 5ATM and IP68 ratings.
