File and document transfers from Windows computers to Android devices and vice versa are simple and reliable with Nearby Share for Windows. Few people are aware that the application may also be used to move text or links from one device to another, much like files, images, etc. The utility is mostly renowned for moving files and folders; therefore, this information is not well recognized.

However, it functions flawlessly. The Windows version is identical to the Android version in that it allows you to share files, photos, videos, and other media between Android devices using Nearby Share. Open Nearby Share, select the file and select the contact you want to share it with.

The following steps will guide you to transfer URLs and texts from a Windows PC to an Android device:

  • Install Nearby Share on your Windows PC An Android phone running version 6 or later.
  • Open the Nearby Share app on your PC, select the text you want to share, and then copy it.
  • You can also drag and drop the text onto the app as an alternative.
  • Presently, go to the Close by Offer application and glue it into the application
  • The application will identify it as text and change - - Sharing Text
  • Presently, select the contact displayed on the right board to share
  • For this ensure that the Close by Offer is turned on and empowered on your telephone
  • Acknowledge from the telephone or on the gadget you are sending the message or URL.
  • You can choose to open or copy the notification when you receive the text. Only the copy option will be available for links.

Also, any nearby device that has Nearby Share activated displays a notification prompting the user to make their device visible. Tap the name of the device to which you want to share the file. The person on the receiving end will then need to tap the Accept button for the file to be sent.

This finally resolves the easy file transfer same as Apple's AirDrop feature which simply allows iPhone users to quickly share files with other people in the immediate area.
