Being a technology company, it prompted Smart24x7 to leverage technology and design a mobile platform for the safety & security to the citizens. The prime idea of this platform was to bring all the stakeholders on a common centralized platform and also loop in the near and dear ones through automated notification processes. The same platform is extended to cater to the corporate transport system.

Smart 24×7 is a safety app that has a panic button to provide a 360 degree safety to all the users from its mobile platform. It allows the users to save five major contact numbers along with assistance from the police/ambulance/fire in case of an emergency. It uses ASP.Net, C#, MySql, Velocity Cache, Web Services with GCM, APNS, Windows push messaging service, SMS, Geo Fencing and GPS support.

Mobile Network availability is still a major issue and therefore Smart had to develop an offline model where app could work through SMS and IVR solutions.
There is lack of standardization in registration documents of different police stations so this posed a challenge. It was addressed after consulting officials from police departments of different geographies.
Immediate delivery of information to security agencies through SMS was another challenge.
Providing the same UI across all the platforms was a difficult task, but finally the solution was able to integrate different support and services.
The safety app has become very popular with increasing number of users. The response time of security agencies can be brought down to 3 to 5 minutes from 10 to 15 minutes. There is seamless co-ordination and tracking of victim with centralized data collection of vehicle and driver information.
Near and dear ones are always informed. There is a sense of security to family members of working women.
Corporates have almost 30% cost savings on transport.
