This is another torch bearer for the Web 2.0 revolution, and has literally
changed the way the whole web works. It's here to stay, and has taught the
enterprise world a thing or two about how to really use the web.
Today, lots of social networking sites throng the web, with each one trying
to create an impact. The site that's the most future ready of them all is Orkut,
followed by Bigadda.com, which comes as a big surprise.
Incidentally, it's also the most persuasive brand of the lot, followed by
classmates.com. Facebook is number three in future readiness, but has the second
highest brand pull.
Orkut and Facebook are the only two with more than 30% loyal users. The rest
are all 30% or below. So obviously, the remaining sites need to really figure
out how to prevent their existing users from shifting to competing social
networking sites. It should be interesting to see how many of these social
networking sites are able to sustain themselves in the long run.
