Functionality & Features: The website caters not only for college admissions, but also for postgraduate, long-distance and professional course admissions. This portal provides an end-to-end service for the student, from pre-application to post-application. They inform students of their admission status through the colleges, sending them immediate communication once their status has changed. Through this portal, a lot of hassle can be saved on the part of the institution as well. By digitizing their college admission process, they can reduce the turnaround time for processing of an application, and avoid dealing with messy processes, which will cause delay in turnarounds, as well as major wastage of paper during the process. ePravesh.com aspires to connect many more colleges and schools to their system, so that students and colleges can avoid the headaches of individually dealing with colleges, accelerating the admission process for both parties involved.

USP: Support for localization takes priority on ePravesh.com, with support for Indian languages such as Hindi and Marathi. Standardization for admission process prevents redundancy of effort and information, as much of the student's personal information is saved by the system and reused for multiple applications. There has been no platform prior to ePravesh that has attempted to build a standardized portal for admission at this scale.

Impact: Until now, about 30,000 users have registered on ePravesh.com, along with 40 colleges to streamline their admissions process with ePravesh. According to ePravesh, almost 30% of savings has been made on the part of colleges because of using their services, as they have avoided costs such as physical materials usage and time-consuming logistics.

What Judges Liked: This “fulfilled a market need that has yet to be satisfied by other ideas”. It would have a huge impact on the student population if it takes off well, as students save lot of time and effort by using this idea.

What Judges Didn't Like: The project was not technically complex, as it was “mainly just a website with a back-end database”.
