What is Tecno targeting in India in 2024?
According to a PTI report, Tecno Mobile India CEO Arijeet Talapatra said that Tecno aims to secure its position among the top five smartphone brands in the Indian market by 2024. The CEO announced that he plans to launch 24 new mobile phone models in 2024. Half of these models support 5G technology.
According to the report, the average selling price of Tecno phones rose from Rs 11,000–12,000 in January 2023 to Rs 18,000–19,000 in December 2023. The strategic focus is on major expansion in the Rs 15,000 and above segment. The goal is to sell 1.5 million mobile phones in 2024, a significant increase from 7.5 million in 2023. At the time, the sixth executive pointed out that the company had recently seen a significant change in remuneration.
Recently Launched Tecno mobile phones
Tecno recently launched two new smartphones in India, the Tecno Spark Go 2024 and the Tecno Phantom V Flip. Launched at a starting price of Rs 6,699, the Tecno Spark Go 2024 is an entry-level smartphone with a 6.56-inch HD+ Dot-in display that offers a standard 90Hz refresh rate.
The smartphone is equipped with dual rear cameras, consisting of a 13-megapixel primary camera and a secondary AI lens. The device is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 10-watt charging technology.
On the other hand, the Tecno Phantom V Flip is a premium flip-style phone with a 6.9-inch FHD+ flexible AMOLED screen and minimal bezels. It has a 1.32-inch round AMOLED sub-screen.
The phone has a 64-megapixel main RGBW camera with an f/1.7 aperture and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens on the back, along with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 processor coupled with a Mali-G77 GPU and backed by a 4000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
