Thacker Dairy : ERP Deployment

Several business processes are unique for dairy industry and need to be

customized in any software solution. Thacker Dairy needed an integrated solution

to cater to its different business processes spread across several departments.

Thacker Dairy examined a variety of business system solutions for the dairy

industry in India. They chose to work together with PricewaterhouseCoopers to

implement the new solution based on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV, that runs on

Microsoft Windows Server 2003. The company used Windows XP Home Edition based

desktops.

The solution has integrated the company's purchase, production, inventory,

and sales processes. Its adoption has helped the company in having better

quality control across purchase, production and sales. They can quickly analyze

all sales and marketing related data, thereby being able to better respond to

customer demands. They can track consumption of all raw materials, consumables,

and packing materials, for all batches of the dairy's produce.

The new solution is made available to 22 concurrent users across the

organization. It was deployed in eight months.
