stores 100 MB on 3.5" magnetic disks that are fatter than standard floppies. It

connects to the USB port on an iMac or Windows 98 PC.

The drive is compact, weighing a half kg. It ships with a USB cable,

a CD with the software, and a manual.

There’s also an external power supply. The USB port can supply

power to some devices like keyboards, but not enough power for a drive.

Because it’s USB, this Zip drive is really easy to connect.

Just plug in the cable into your PC’s USB port, and Windows prompts you to install

the software.

A "sleep" feature spins down the drive on 15 minutes’

inactivity, reducing power consumption. You can customize the sleep settings.

The software includes RecordIt, which lets you record and play back

over eight hours of music, the 1 Step Backup utility, Iomega format and diagnostic tools,

and a disk duplicator utility.

The drive lists at Rs 10,510,with each Zip disk (the same ones used

with other Zip drives) at Rs 498. A portable carry-case and other accessories are optional

extras.
