Threads Introduces Edit Button and Voice Posts, Unpaid Version Unlike X(Twitter)

A new edit button has been released by Meta for Threads, a rival of X (Twitter). Even after you've posted a post on Threads, you may change it using this function. It is comparable to what X permits, except on Threads, the edit option is available without charge and without a paid subscription. The edit button and "Voice Threads" were both introduced by Meta.

Threads new features

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced new features for Threads in Threads. The edit button has been launched and is available for Android and iOS apps as well as web users. Themes allow users to edit a post for up to five minutes. Thus, according to the 9to5Google report, you can edit as much as you want, but only within the first five minutes of sharing a message.

How do I find out about a new feature? 

If you are a Threads user, you can check if you have received the edit button by doing the following.

Open the Threads app or online and share a message. Once you've done that, tap the button with the three dots.

Here you should see "Edit" at the top of the list. Select it and edit your message.

Threads also displays a timer that tells you how long you have to change the message. Compared to X, the time limit for editing messages in Threads is shorter. X allows editing up to 30 minutes after sharing a post. But since this feature is free in Threads, there's not much to complain about. With X, you have to get a paid subscription which costs Rs 650 per month and comes with a lot more benefits.

Voice Threads

As the name suggests, Voice Threads are primarily sent via a voice clip. You can now share the audio recording and post it in Threads. You should see a "new thread" microphone button in the text box right next to the gallery button. Tap it and start recording the audio clip. Threads offers transcription along with the audio recording. You can also add text when sharing an audio clip.
