APS is a Web-based application thatprocesses loan applications from ICICI Bank customers. It uses the existing knowledge to determine whether to accept or reject the loan application. Nucleus Software Exports Limited (NSEL) and 3i Infotech consulted on the project. APS runs off Solaris 9 and Windows 2000 servers supported by Pramati 3.5.

SSI Registration, Govt of Tamil Nadu

An online service to help new entrepreneurs get provisional SSI registration certificate, without having to go to the respective District Industries Center. The facility is available in more than 260 browsing centers across the state. So far, 70,740 certificates have been issued. It even provides online verification of registrations through other agencies like banks,

CART analyzes credit-worthiness of an applicant. The system has a two-level security — a creator and a checker who can also be the same person. CART allows for three basic forms-the appraisal, documentation of verification and the disbursement note on approval. Fully developed by SIDBI, it uses Lotus Notes 5 with Oracle 9i. It was completed in five months.

Electronic Issuer Interface, National Stock Exchange of India

Using the Electronic Issuer Interface project, companies listed on the NSE can pass all corporate announcements to the Exchange in electronic form, which will subsequently be broadcast to the market and displayed on the NSE website. Digital certificates are used to identify, authenticate and verify the integrity of data posted by the companies.

This online-management S/w works through a Web browser and allows an ICICI Lombard customer to view and manage all their insurance policies from a single interface. It's common to individual users, business users, intermediaries and internal users. Developed at a cost of Rs 24 lakhs, its has an expected recurring expenditure of Rs 5 lakhs pa.

Simplified and Transparent Administration of Registration has been taken up by the Registration Dept of TN to provide related information and quicker services for registration of property, issuance of encumbrance and marriage certificates, providing of certified copies of documents. It plans to cover 600 offices (presently 350 covered). Services are provided through a website.

The project (a call center) was launched as an agricultural pilot in 2003 to provide helpline facility to farmers. Thereafter, its scope was expanded to include all major depts of Govt of AP. Citizens can call a toll-free number for a range of grievances in areas of education, power supply, etc. The call center representatives take up calls and forward the grievances to the respective depts.
