New Update

The Problem: The company had setup a plant in Turkey, and was planning to implement SAP and Messaging. But they already had SAP and Exchange servers hosted at their Chennai data centers; all that was needed was to have a WAN connectivity to their Turkey plant. The company evaluated various options for connectivity like IMPLS, IPLC etc., but the deterrent was the recurring cost involved, which was above Rs. 20 Lacs for connecting with 512Kbps or 1Mbps. Also the service provider will have to pay more to the Turkish telecom which has a monopoly at Turkey for any last mile connectivity.

The Solution: The company implemented site to site IPsec VPN with two tunnels using 2 ADSL Internet at Turkey end and using existing Internet pipe at Chennai. This has enabled WAN to access SAP ERP and other applications hosted at Chennai over IPsec VPN.

The Result: The company is now able to have highly reliable and better performance connectivity at much lower recurring cost. While the initial recurring cost was estimated to be Rs.20 Lacs, it now is a total of around Rs. 1 Lacs only.
