Today, Twitter has released a brand-new feature that allows users to share several visual media files, including videos, pictures, and GIFs, in a single Tweet. Tweets can only be created on Android and iOS, but they are visible to users on all platforms.
Worldwide users may now see the mixed media tweets that Twitter has been testing for several months.
With the new format, users may express themselves in ways that go well beyond 280 characters by integrating up to four forms of media material, such as GIFs, pictures, or videos.
The vision of the company
"This upgrade is the latest example of how we're aiming to make Twitter the simplest and most convenient way to share photographs, videos, and other creative material," Twitter wrote in a blog post on Wednesday. It works in conjunction with introducing two new video products that make finding and watching Twitter activity simpler than ever before: full-screen videos and a new video carousel in the Explore tab.
Android and iOS allow for creating these tweets, but users across all platforms can see them.

When utilising the POST media/upload endpoint, there are a few key ideas to comprehend. Because using this API to upload media with OAuth might be a little complicated, we've listed some considerations to bear in mind and provided a working example.
Step 1: Click the picture icon in the Tweet compose box to take or upload a photo or a video from your phone.
Step 2: Select the GIF icon on your phone or computer to browse the GIF library and submit a GIF. Note that Tweets containing multiple photos cannot include animated GIFs. One GIF may only be sent in a Tweet.
Step 3: Read up on how to tweet a video in step three's tip.
Step 4: When you select a picture or a GIF, it will fully enlarge and connect to your Tweet. To tweet at once, choose 1-4 images.
Step 5: You may also react to a tweet or quote from your phone while attaching a picture or a video.
Step 6: There is a hands-free option to record up to 60 seconds of video when choosing Video Reply.
Step 7: Select a tweet to post in step 7.
A tip: You may also send images and GIFs in direct messages.
Image specifications
All image files must meet the following requirements:
JPG, PNG, GIF, and WEBP image media formats are supported.
15 MB for an animated GIF and 5 MB for an image.
The media upload endpoint imposes the file mentioned above size restriction. Additionally, when accessing the Tweet creation (or comparable) APIs with media id, a different product entity-specific file size restriction is implemented. The file size restriction and other restrictions may change depending on the media category argument.
GIF recommendations
The Tweet generation process could fail even if a GIF is under the allowed file size limit. Follow these guidelines to increase success rates.
Resolution must be less than 1280x1080 (width x height)
350 or fewer frames
300 million pixels or less (width * height * num frames)
less than 15 megabytes
Use the chunked upload endpoint with the media category option to handle more giant GIFs. The need to process bigger files enables the server to process the GIF file asynchronously. To enable async upload behavior for Tweets containing animated GIFs, pass media category=tweet gif.
Each Tweet allows you to include four movies, pictures, or GIFs. The upgrade is presently accessible on iOS and Android, although all devices support the consumption of Tweets with various content.
