After Google and Facebook, its Twitter – planning to ban cyrptocurrency and initial coin offerings (ICOs) ads on its platform. It was first reported by Sky News.
Twitter is an online news and social networking platform. Users of this social media website share posts and network with messages also popularly known as tweets.
In the first month of this year, Facebook forbade advertisements that were promoting currencies including Bitcoin. It was banned in order to fight against the misleading marketers. Last week, Google also planned to follow the path and prohibited such ads. Sky News through Engadget stated that advertisements for ICOs, token sales, and cryptocurrency wallets would be further banned on a worldwide platform, pertaining to the latest advertising policies.
According to the reports, Twitter might prohibit ads for cryptocurrency exchanges, other than some probable exceptions. The ban would start in a matter of two weeks.
